Westbound turnpike lanes to close at midnight Sunday
Butler County residents driving in the wee hours of Sunday morning should beware of changes on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The westbound portion of the turnpike between the Butler Valley Interchange and the Allegheny Valley Interchange will be closed Sunday morning, according to a Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission traffic advisory.
From midnight to 5 a.m., the road is scheduled to be closed, so that a digital sign can be added t at mile-marker 42.76.
The Butler Valley Interchange is at exit 39, while the Allegheny Valley Interchange is at exit 48.
The Butler interchange is on Route 8, just south of Butler County's southern border.
The Allegheny interchange is where the road meets Route 28.
