Wilda Arblaster

Wilda Wimer Arblaster, 92, of Orchard Manor-Grove City and formerly of Branchton, Pa., passed away at AHN-Grove City on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Wilda was the daughter of Raymond Ford Wimer and Leona C. Logan Wimer. She was born in Worth Township, Butler County, on Feb. 19, 1929.

She married Ross Dwight Arblaster on May 20, 1948. Ross preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1978. Wilda was a member of Branchton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. A great day for her was spending it in her kitchen. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include daughters Bonnie (Larry) McCool of Grove City, and Debra Arblaster of Liberty Center, Ohio; and sons Douglas (Marilyn) Arblaster and Dennis (Robin) Arblaster, all of Slippery Rock; seven grandchildren, Michael McCool, Kris McCool, Regina Cornelius, Ryan Arblaster, Fawn Toner, Kathy Ferringer and Larry Sedwick; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Thelma Wimer Bagnall; brothers, Eugene and Melvin Wimer; and great-grandson, Jeremy Coast.

Wilda has been a resident of Orchard Manor for the past three years, and the family would like to thank them for their kindness and care for their mother.

Arblaster — Family of Wilda Wimer Arblaster, who died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Brandon Moore, pastor of the Branchton United Methodist Church, presiding.

Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Branchton United Church.
