Phyllis Marie Thompson
Phyllis Marie Thompson, 88, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Edward H. Lasher and the late V. Joy Benton Lasher.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a member of the North Street Christian Church. She volunteered at the Homeacre Christian Academy for several years. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed watching Pirates baseball and traveling. She was an avid reader. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Ford City High School.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Thompson, whom she married May 12, 1950; one son, Kirk L. Thompson and his wife, Sally Bartoli Thompson, of Bethel Park; one daughter, Sara Pellegrini and her husband, Jeff, of Butler; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
THOMPSON — Friends of Phyllis Marie Thompson, who died Thursday, May 11, 2017, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. David Fisher of Homeacre Chapel and the Rev.
