Lauren Motko and Andrew Kern

A July 4 wedding is being planned by Lauren Motko and Andrew Kern, both of Shelby Township, Mich.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dave and JoRenée Motko of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Rick and Linda Kern of West View.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of Penn State University. She works for the Chippewa Valley School District in Michigan.

Her fiancé graduated in 1997 from Seneca Valley High School in Maryland. He works for Iron Mountain in Michigan.
