Miranda Mowen and Matthew Brooks

A July 2 wedding is being planned by Miranda Mowen of Valencia and Matthew Brooks of Akron, Ohio.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeffrey and Stephanie Mowen of Valencia. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Wiley and Linda Brooks of Tallmadge, Ohio.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Mars High School and a 2004 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University. She graduated in 2011 from the reading specialist master’s program at Edinboro University. She is employed by the Pine Richland School District in Gibsonia.

Her fiance graduated in 1997 from Tallmadge High School. He served two deployments with the military in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is employed by the Springfield Township Police Department in Springfield, Ohio.
