Dave and Kathy Sherman

Dave and Kathy Sherman of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage in August with a family dinner at the Butler Country Club.

Sherman married the former Kathy Dome on June 12, 1971, at St. Kieran Church in Pittsburgh.

They have three children, Jason Sherman of Butler, Jeremy (Alison) Sherman of Overland Park, Kan., and Jarron Sherman of Butler.

They also have three grandchildren.

Sherman was a member of IBEW Local 5 in Pittsburgh and then worked for the Highland Drive VA Medical Center for 15 years.

He is a member of American Legion Post 778 and Oak Hills Christian Church, Butler.

Mrs. Sherman was a pharmacy tech at Phar Mor and Giant Eagle. She is a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
