Meeting will decide fate of grandparent group
BUFFALO TWP — Forming a new support and educational group for grandparents who are partly or wholly responsible for their grandchildren's care depends on the results of a preliminary meeting on Sunday.
The Rev. Rob Swinsburg, pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church, said interested grandparents can come to the church's Fellowship Hall at 210 Westminster Road in Sarver at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Formation of a group for grandparents who care for their grandchildren will be determined based on turnout, Swinsburg said.
“This is all new territory for us,” he said. “We're just checking to see if there is enough interest.”
He said all grandparents who help care for or are raising their grandchildren are invited to attend.
