Suspect sought after Cranberry bank heist
CRANBERRY TWP — Police are searching for a man who robbed the PNC Bank on Route 19 at approximately 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s and approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a camouflage shirt, a black hat and dark glasses, according to police, who believe the robber took off on foot toward North Boundary Road.
Officers from Cranberry and Jackson townships responded to the scene.
Two K-9 officers were seen searching North Boundary Road and the area between the bank and Pinewood Memorial Park.
Police did not comment on whether the suspect was armed.
That PNC Bank was robbed in September 2018 by Patrick Acierno, who pleaded guilty in June to robbing four banks in Butler, Beaver and Allegheny counties.
