Woman charged in connection to boyfriend's OD death

Instead of immediately driving her boyfriend to the hospital after he apparently overdosed, a Butler woman is accused of stopping to get fast food for her child.

Tonya M. Kildoo, 39, also reportedly gave the victim a prescription medication used to treat opioid addiction, rather than the lifesaving antidote Narcan, authorities said.

But after Kildoo finally made it to Butler Memorial Hospital on July 3 with Christopher Otto, it was too late. The 32-year-old man was pronounced dead there.

Butler police Monday charged Kildoo with reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor, in connection with the death.

She is accused of failing to call 911 or promptly getting her boyfriend emergency medical treatment.

A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
