SRU students start hurricane relief effort
SLIPPERY ROCK — Students at Slippery Rock University have coordinated a hurricane relief campaign that began Monday.
The campaign will run through Sept. 23, and is being coordinated by the Student Nonprofit Alliance, an on-campus organization of students preparing for careers in the nonprofit sector, and the Slippery Rock Student Government Association.
People who donate to the campaign will choose between Catholic Charities, The American Red Cross or The Salvation Army, and donations will be divided between that organization's relief efforts in both Texas and Florida.
Those wishing to participate can make an online donation and find more information at www.srufoundation.org/snahurricane.
A full report will appear in the Butler Eagle.
