Mary R. Isabella

Mary R. Isabella, 89, of Bloomingdale, IL, formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, in Bloomingdale.

Born April 3, 1932, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Domenick and Serafina Taliano Zuccala.

Mary was a homemaker, who was formerly employed by Spaide Shirt Company and the dietary department of Sunnyview Nursing Home.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She belonged to the 55 & Alive of St. Michael's, and she participated in Silver Sneakers and yoga at the Tanglewood Center. She loved to dance and cook, and she also loved canning the fruits and vegetables from her garden.

Mary is survived by her husband, Paul D. Isabella; one son, Louis Isabella of Shaler Township; one daughter, Marisa Mondi, and her husband, Dan, of Bloomingdale, IL; three grandchildren, Peter Mondi and his wife, Rachel, of Elmhurst, IL, Jeanna Mondi of Seattle, WA, and Paul Mondi of Carol Stream, IL; and one great-grandchild, Oliver, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

ISABELLA — Friends of Mary R. Isabella, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin Fazio officiating.

Entombment will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery Mausoleum.
