Police say Ohio man driving stolen Buick
State police arrested an Ohio man Sunday morning after he was allegedly caught driving a stolen car in Butler.
Jeffery L. Davenport Jr., 28, of Columbus, Ohio, is being held in Butler County Prison on felony receiving stolen property, DUI and several summary traffic violations.
Davenport, driving a Buick LeSabre, was pulled over by a state trooper on Center Avenue at 3:18 a.m. The trooper recognized the vehicle as matching the description of a car that had recently been reported stolen, according to a criminal complaint.
Davenport allegedly admitted to stealing the car and also said that he was intoxicated from drinking alcohol and smoking crack cocaine, according to the complaint.
