Road closed after 3-vehicle crash
ADAMS TWP — Route 228 is shut down in both directions between Mars-Evans City Road and Pittsburgh Street because of a three-vehicle crash just after 7 a.m. today that left two drivers injured.
Both drivers were flown by medical helicopters to Pittsburgh hospitals.
One of the vehicles, a truck, caught fire and the driver was trapped for a time. The driver reportedly was pulled from his vehicle by several passers-by.
