Man, 28, in jail for alleged sexual assault of girl, 15
A 28-year-old Butler man is being held in jail for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl.
Dalton A. Best was arraigned Friday on felony charges of statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. District Judge William Fullerton set his bond at $25,000, and Best has been unable to pay it, according to court records. Best has no listed lawyer.
Best was charged after a 15 year old alleged that he raped her Aug. 31 during a midnight rendezvous between the two at Memorial Park.
During an interview on Sept. 10 with authorities, the victim alleged that Best knew she was 15 years old, and during their meeting Best began to inappropriately touch her.
