CHERRY TWP — Moniteau High School will present the musical "Willy Wonka" at 7:30 p.m. March 12 and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 13 in the High School Auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road. The musical is based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl, telling his timeless story of the world famous candy man and his quest to find an heir. This stage adaptation features songs from the classic family film "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory," with lyrics and music by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.

The show is being directed by Gordon Cavalero, with Sherri Moore as producer. Choreographic design is by Susan Edwards, and artistic design is by Heidi Wirtner. Chip Marra and Keith Osborne are doing set construction.

Instrumental director is Mark Rodgers, with Darcie Bishop as vocal director and Dorinda Aigner as piano accompanist.

Student directors are Kyle Thompson and Cassidy Puryear.

Properties are by Kim Stoughton, with costumes by Naomi Wagner and Cindy White and makeup by Beatrice Heck.

John Stoughton is stage manager.
