Sandusky moved from county jail to state prison

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Jerry Sandusky is now a state prison inmate after his transfer from the Centre County jail.

A state prison system spokeswoman says the 68-year-old former Penn State assistant coach was transferred this morning to the State Correctional Institute at Camp Hill.

Camp Hill is where he’ll be processed, tested and evaluated. It’ll be a week or more before he’s assigned to one of the state facilities as his “home” prison.

Sandusky is serving 30 to 60 years for sexual abuse of 10 boys over a 15-year period.

He has repeatedly asserted his innocence and last week filed post-sentencing motions. He is seeking to have convictions thrown out or a new trial.
