One person was transported Monday following a two-vehicle accident on Prospect Road in Forward Township.

The accident was reported at 2:22 p.m. Monday at 508 Prospect Road.

Officials at the scene said the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they struck one another. One of the vehicles was seen about 50 yards away from the other on the road, which has many tight corners in the area.

One person was transported for additional medical treatment, while the other refused treatment at the scene.
