William E. Hetrick, Sr.
IN MEMORIAM

In loving memory of William E. Hetrick, Sr. who passed away 10 years ago today, September 10, 2006.

I recall how proud we were of you when you earned “Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter” in the United States Marine Corps many years ago.

There was never any doubt that you were a fantastic Marine.

After you served four years of active military service, you always strived to achieve your best in all facets of your life.

We were raised modestly, but through the love of our parents, we were so rich! Since our Sister has joined Daddy, Mommy and you, I am left to carry on and keep the memories of all of you deep in my heart.

I am not alone in missing you these past ten years. You left behind your children and grandchildren, as well. Thank you for the many treasured times you gave us and so many other people!

You served in the Infantry during the Vietnam War, but I witnessed firsthand your battle with cancer. Somehow you fought each of these battles with so much force and stamina. You displayed the strength and courage you were trained to have not just as a man, but as a Marine right up until the very end. Never once did you question or complain about the terrible pain you were enduring. I would have never imagined anything less from you, a Marine and my Big Brother.

Yes, at one time, you were the “Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter” in the United States Marine Corps, but you are always the “Brother of my Life.”

Semper Fi, Sergeant William E. Hetrick, Sr., Semper Fi. America salutes you for your service. I salute you with an abundance of pride I will always have for you. It was my honor to have been your Sister. What I wouldn’t do to have you back!

You were, and still are, loved!

Sharon (Hetrick) Tucci
