Butler police are seeking a man they say threatened another man with a loaded shotgun during an altercation Tuesday evening on Alpha Avenue.

Andrew C. Fink, 28, who has no known address, is wanted on a felony arrest warrant for assault and other charges.

No one was injured in the incident that happened about 5:30 p.m., police said.

At the time, according to court documents, the victim, John Zanicky, was dropping off items at a storage unit belonging to Fink.

The two men got into an apparent argument during which the defendant allegedly threatened to shoot the 61-year-old Zanicky.

Fink is accused of retrieving a shotgun from the passenger side of his vehicle, loading it and pointing it at Zanicky.

The victim recounted that he fled to his truck while Fink “gave chase,” documents said. Zanicky got into the vehicle and Fink “continued to point the shotgun at the truck until Zanicky left the area.”

Another man told police that he was in the truck when he saw the defendant get the shotgun and chase Zanicky.

The man said he was “fearful for his life” and “ducked down onto the passenger side floor of the truck until (he and Zanicky) were able to leave the area.”

District Judge Bill O'Donnell on Wednesday issued the warrant for Fink, who is charged with aggravated assault, a felony, and terroristic threats and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors.
