Let there be lights ...
PROSPECT — Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland returns for its third season of holiday displays, filling the Big Butler Fairground with lights through Jan. 7.
The show is open from 6 to 10 p.m. each day, with later hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
Guests will enter the fairgrounds and turn their headlights off, before proceeding down a lane flanked by hundreds of thousands of LED lights. Patrons also may tune their radio to a designated frequency to hear music synchronized with the displays.
In addition to classic Christmas scenes, there will be a section on childhood tales like Little Red Riding Hood, Jack be Nimble, and the Princess and the Frog.
Beyond the lights, the driving route leads into Santa’s Village. Until Dec. 23, guests can meet and take a photograph with Santa Claus, and shop for souvenirs while enjoying refreshments like hot cocoa, kettle corn and more. There also will be rides for children, and a station for writing letters to Santa.
