Mars Area Home Tour, hosted by Friends of the Library, is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It will include at least eight historic and character homes in the Mars, Adams and Middlesex townships, and Valencia areas. Tickets are available in advance for $18 and the day of the event for $20. Butler County Farm Tour will feature five farms from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 15. Residents can take part in this free, drive-it-yourself tour of the farms which are in the southern part of Butler County. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., will have a Harvest Moon celebration from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Butler Country Club. Dinner, dancing and a performance by Yanlai Dance Academy are planned. Music will be provided by the TMG Big Band. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. followed by hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. and dinner stations starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $100 if purchased by Sept. 17. Tickets at the door will be $125. Black tie is optional. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, offers tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

Fort Pitt Museum, Point State Park, has extended its “From Maps to Mermaids: Carved Powder Horns in Early America” exhibition through year end. The exhibition showcases powder horns and explores the stories behind them. Museum admission is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens, $2 off admission for retired and active military, and $4.50 for children ages 6-17. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
