The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival takes place this weekend from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday downtown and beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Cooper’s Lake Campground near Slippery Rock.
More than 2,000 Jeep owners from 28 states and Canada are already registered to attend with their Jeeps.
New in 2018 will be a Bantam Proving Grounds Jeep Pull, Decorate Your Jeep, an Invasion After-Party, and “Bantam Jeepardy.”
In addition, the festival offers on and off-site trail rides, a Jeep Playground obstacle course featuring a mud pit, Jeep Invasion street party, Mystery Road Rally and other activities.

[naviga:h3]Cars to cruise at show site [/naviga:h3]
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — The Rodfather’s annual Cruise-A-Palooza is scheduled for June 23 at the Butler Farm Show grounds.
Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The car cruise will include dash plaques, music, food, crafts and raffles.
Also planned are Pittsburgh Bomb Squad demonstrations, canine demonstrations, and plane and helicopter rides.
The rain date for the cruise is June 24 from noon to 5 p.m.
[naviga:h3]Monster Bash to return[/naviga:h3]
MARSHALL TWP, Allegheny County — Monster Bash, the international classic monster movie conference and film festival, returns to the Cranberry Township area this month.
The three-day event will be June 22 to 24 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh-Cranberry, 910 Sheraton Drive.
Monster Bash features screenings of classic films and television shows, question and answer sessions with celebrities, music, and monster movie memorabilia.
Special guests this year will include Victoria Price, daughter of the late Vincent Price; Joyce Meadows, who starred in scores of films and TV shows including “The Brain from Planet Arous;” and British actress Janina Faye who was in the 1958 film “Horror of Dracula” alongside horror greats Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.
An outdoor screening of “The Brain from Planet Arous” will be held Saturday night, weather permitting.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. June 22, 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. June 23, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 24.
Admission is charged each day. Three-day passes are available in advance.
