Joan Lee Hodak
Joan Lee (Hawkins) Hodak, 89, of Valencia, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, in Butler.
She was born in 1932 in Butler, a daughter of Myrtle Brown and John Talmadge Hawkins, and lived in the area her entire life.
She was the owner of multiple retail, wholesale and manufacturing businesses.
She attended Butler Presbyterian Church.
She was an artist, skater, quilter and baker. She enjoyed raising her kids, and rescuing and raising animals of all kinds.
Joan Lee was a vibrant and kind-hearted individual. She truly enjoyed raising her seven children with unconditional love, and hid her sacrifices to make sure her family had all they needed. She married her soul mate, Frank, and had a long and happy marriage.
Survivors include her daughter, Darell Hodak Placek of Worthington; her sons, Micheal Hodak of Venetia, Pa., and David Hodak of Butler; her daughter, Kim Hodak of Venice, Fla.; her sons, Tom Hodak of Butler, Jerry Hodak of Zelienople, and Frank Hodak Jr. of Mars; 14 grandchildren, Bhryndi, Lauren, Andy, Katie, Natalie, Cody, Jerry, Dillon, Coltyn, Hannah, Sarrah, Alexis, Karesa and Isabelle; and her great-grandchildren, Roman, Kiki, Karlos, Wyatt, Tommy, Charlotte, Josephine, Harper, Theo, Ari, Tallon, Harper, Isla and Jane.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Hodak.
HODAK — No services will be held at this time for Joan Lee (Hawkins) Hodak, who died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.
