Margaret “Marge” C. Colosimo, 86, of Slippery Rock passed away Thursday at her daughter’s home with loved ones at her side.

She was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Coaltown, Butler County, to Harry Johnston and Alice Kelly Johnston. She married Donald A. Colosimo, who preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1992.

Margaret was a faithful member of the Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock for 57 years.

She worked at Slippery Rock University and at Spencer’s Nursing Home in Slippery Rock.

She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren, bowling, golfing and cooking for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are two sons, William Morris and his wife, Jean, of Grove City and Gene Morris of Slippery Rock; one daughter, Sandra Wagner and her husband, George, of Slippery Rock; eight grandchildren, W. Mace Morris, Michelle Gardner, Lynann Morrison, Tara Phillips and her husband, Brian, Cody Morris, Kayla Morris, Tad Wagner and his wife, Jennifer, and Kevin Wagner; 14 great-grandchildren, Grady Morris, Sarah Morris, Erica Jack and her husband, Chad, Emily Gardner, Mathew Morris, Jacob Morrison, Anthony Morrison, Sydney France, Kadence Phillips, Skyler Lee, Lilly Yenick, Alicia Wagner, Zakory Wagner and Aiden Wagner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Johnston; her mother, Alice Johnston Redfoot; one granddaughter, Gina France; two sisters, Cleora Lyons and Vera Gumpp; and two brothers, Robert Johnston and Boyd Johnston.

COLOSIMO — The family of Margaret “Marge” C. Colosimo, who died Thursday, July 18, 2013, will receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday with services immediately following at 4 p.m. with the Rev. William Mumaw II, pastor of the Center Presbyterian Church, presiding.

Interment will be at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.

Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s research.
