Blanche Mae Ietto
Blanche Mae Ietto, 94, of Butler died late Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.
Born April 19, 1926, in Apollo, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane Puntureri Ietto.
Boondie, as she was known to her family, worked at the Thorofare in Bon Aire, and then her family’s Foodland in Wexford.
She was a devoted sister and aunt, and cherished her family. She loved gardening and was known for her beautiful, colorful flowers.
She was an avid photographer. Boondie’s photos and home movies are the foundation for all of her family’s memories.
Blanche was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving are her brother, Samuel Ietto of Butler; two sisters, Virginia (Phil) Ball of Youngwood, Pa., and Joy (Roy) Rader of Butler; her sister-in-law, Carol (Mickey) Ietto; 10 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Cypher, Pauline Fontaine and Annabelle Blazewick; and her brother, Mickey Ietto.
IETTO — Friends of Blanche Mae Ietto, who died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, will be received from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler.
Interment will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Due to current mandates and restrictions, facial coverings and social distancing are required.
