Thomas H. Flynn Jr.

Thomas H. Flynn Jr., 72, of Cabot and formerly of New Kensington, passed away at home Sunday, June 27, 2021.

He was born May 20, 1949, in New Kensington, and was the son of the late Thomas H. and Caroline (Cypher) Flynn Sr.

Thomas lived for the past 12 years in Sarver, and before that, New Kensington for 30 years.

He was a crane operator for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. for 33 years.

Thomas graduated from Burrell High School in 1967, and attended the University of Akron for three years.

Thomas enjoyed live music, lifting a pint with his friends, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and children.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Gretchen S. (Walker) Flynn; and his children, Molly (Robert) vonVital of Shaler Township, and Peter (Patricia Imbrogno) Flynn of Mount Troy, Pittsburgh.

Also surviving is a brother, James (Gretchen) Flynn of Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Flynn; two sisters, Carol Ann and Cathleen; a niece, Amy Blair; and a nephew, David Flynn.

FLYNN — A gathering of family and friends for Thomas H. Flynn Jr., who died Sunday, June 27, 2021, will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum.

Burial will be private.
