Anna Kemery

Anna M. “Ann” Kemery, 92, of Connoquenessing, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Callery on Dec. 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Spurk and Annie Laurie Wiley Spurk.

Ann worked as a nurse's aide in the nursery at Butler Memorial Hospital for 29 years. She loved to read and enjoyed doing needlepoint. Above all, Ann was loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Linda Carr and her husband, David, Cindy Cypher, wife of the late Bruce Cypher, and Doug Kemery and his wife, Colette; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Hallie Kemery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and son-in-law, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kemery; her son, Robert Kemery; one sister; and five brothers.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Butch and Diane Kreiss for all their love and support, and to the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Ann.

Kemery — Friends and family of Anna M. “Ann” Kemery, who died Saturday, July 24, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Rosalyn Kummer officiating.

Ann will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery.
