Kristen Lee Herold, 43, of Wexford, will offer argument in an attempt to have her bail reduced to allow her to be released from the Butler County Prison, where she has been held since her arrest on March 22.

The mother of a homicide suspect, charged herself in relation to the case, will be in Butler County Court this afternoon to request a bail reduction.

The hearing will be held before county Judge William Shaffer at 2 p.m. today.

Herold is currently held in the county prison on $200,000 cash bail after being charged with two felony counts of hindering apprehension and one count each of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person.

The charges stem from an incident on March 21, involving the death of Bentley Thomas Miller, and leading up to the arrest of her son, Keith Jordan Lambing, for Bentley's death.

Lambing and Herold were both arrested by Butler city police a day after the incident, when they were discovered hiding in a Walker Avenue house. Butler Township police said Herold allegedly provided false information about Lambing's whereabouts during the investigation and allegedly provided transportation to Lambing during the time when he was wanted by police for questioning.

Lambing was charged by police with homicide and various sex offenses related to injuries that investigators say caused Bentley's death, and were inflicted while he was baby-sitting the boy at the Super 8 hotel on Route 8 in Butler Township. His charges were bound over to county court in a preliminary hearing on April 27.
