Beryle Ivell

Beryle Ramona “Billie” Montgomery Ivell, 82, passed away on Feb. 22, 2021, at the Stow-Glen Retirement Village in Stow, Ohio, where she had resided for the past several years.

She was born on July 7, 1938, and was raised in the Eau Claire area by John K. “Jack” and Lottie Seelbaugh Montgomery.

She had attended the Flat Rock one-room school, and graduated from Moniteau High School.

She spent many years as a nurse’s aide, caregiver and cook in Grove City. She also worked for the Pry Home near West Sunbury, caring for special needs children.

Beryle married Robert E. Ivell Jr. on March 26, 1960. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1999.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Elizabeth (Gordon Bowers); her brother, James R. Montgomery; her stepgrandson, Brandon Bowers; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooke and Damien Bowers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ronald “Bus” Montgomery, Mabel (George) McGinnis, Beryl (Paul) Hovis and John “Jack” Montgomery; her parents; and her stepgranddaughter, Angela Nicole Bowers.

Beryle loved contacting family and friends on their birthdays and anniversaries, and remembered many of them into her later years.

The family would like to thank Deanne Lavigna for her exceptional care of Beryle.

IVELL — The burial of Beryle Ramona “Billie” Montgomery Ivell, who died Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, took place at Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.

The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home in Clintonville assisted the family with the arrangements.
