Commissioners discuss COVID-19
Butler County commissioners began holding telephone conferences Thursday with various municipal officials to discuss issues related to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a press release.
They discussed, among other things, the disaster declaration, the state’s stay-at-home order, securing supplies for local elections. The commissioners will continue to hold the phone conferences every two weeks for the duration of the virus outbreak.
Additionally, the commissioners noted in the statement, resources are available for county residents who need help. These include 2-1-1, which connects people to health, food, housing and human services information. The website is pa211sw.org.
And for residents dealing with unemployment, they can call the Butler office of PA CareerLink at 724-431-4000.
