Sandra Henricks

Sandra Kay “Sandie” Henricks, 74, of Slippery Rock, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 6, 1946, in Prospect, she was the daughter of the late Howard Merle McKinnis and the late Helen Barnhart.

In her earlier years, Sandie worked for Bobbie Brooks in Butler. She was a member of Community Alliance Church. Sandie enjoyed reading, crocheting, music, her friends and family, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandie is survived by her husband, Robert T. Henricks, whom she married on Sept. 21, 1974; two daughters, Rebekah “Beckie” Duncan and her husband Jay of Slippery Rock, and Malynda Bortz of Prospect; three grandchildren, Robby Warren, Jaylynn Warren, Tristen Bortz; two sisters, Edna Mae Knauer of Butler, Bonnie Bolten and her husband Crawford of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Betty Allison, Ruth Sherman, June Reed, Faye King, and Ruby Brown; one brother, Howard “Pete” McKinnis; and one son-in-law, Bill Bortz Jr.

Henricks — Friends of Sandra Kay “Sandie” Henricks, who died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson — Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North St. Butler.

A private funeral will be held for the family with her nephew, Pastor David Smith, officiating.

Private burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may made to Camp Lutherlyn 510 Dick Rd., Prospect, PA 16052.

Due to COVID-19 state guidelines, visitors are required to supply their own and to wear a facial masks and adhere to social distancing. Groups are limited to 25 people inside.
