Ashley Kelley has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.She is the daughter of James Kelley of Gibsonia and the granddaughter of Carol Biggie of Butler.Kelley is a 2003 graduate of Pine-Richland High School.---Two area residents recently returned from a routine, scheduled deployment while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, homeported in Norfolk, Va. Grant Engbarth, son of Beverly and Edward Engbarth of Gibsonia, is a 2001 graduate of Pine-Richland High School and joined the Navy in June 2001.Navy Seaman

Trevor Lindstrom is the son of Joann and Tim Lindstrom of Cabot. He is a 2002 alumnus of Knoch High School and joined the Navy in August 2002.Enterprise was the first U.S. aircraft carrier to deploy since the end of major military operations in Iraq; and during the deployment, his unit spent most of its time in the Arabian Gulf region.---Marine Corps Lance Cpl.

John McCurry, son of Gertrude and Robert McCurry of Gibsonia, recently completed the small arms repair course at the Army's Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Md.McCurry, a 1993 graduate of Pine-Richland High School, joined the Marine Corps in October 2002.---Lance Cpl.

Chad Krumpe, with the Marine Corps Reserves, HMLA 775 Det A of Johnstown, recently was deployed to Iraq from Dover, Del.Krumpe, an electrical technician, specializes in Huey and Cobra helicopters.He is the son of Marcia Wright of Chicora and Ken Krumpe of Petrolia; grandson of Bill and Betty Campbell of Saxonburg.The third-generation Marine is a 2000 graduate of Moniteau High School and has been employed at Lowes Home Improvement for four years. He also is studying criminology at Butler County Community College and plans to enroll in the Pennsylvania Police Academy.---

Aaron Waite, son of Robert Waite and Terry Lauster of Butler, entered the delayed entry program of the Air Force on Nov. 13 and shipped to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on Feb. 24.Waite is a 2001 graduate of Knoch High.---Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class
