Gary Shreve recently graduated from basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.Shreve, a Navy airman, currently is training in avionics at the Great Lakes center.He is the son of ValJean Stewart of Butler and Gary Shreve of Gibsonia.---Three area members of the Army Reserve 307th Military Police Co. based in New Kensington, Spec.

Patrick Oddo, are members of the 48th Brigade Combat Team and recently participated in one of the most realistic scenarios offered by the Army at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif.The NTC in the Mojave Desert is the premier combat training center for desert warfare.The 48th Brigade Combat Team, headquartered in Macon, Ga., is comprised of 31 units in Georgia and six units from other states.Banks, a military security specialist, is the son of Mary and stepson of Al D. McCloy of Evans City. He is a 2004 graduate of Seneca Valley High School.Ekas, a military security specialist with 18 years of service, is a 1986 graduate of Karns City High School. He is the son of Marsha Truman of Butler. His wife, Michele, is the daughter of Ronald and Sandy Kradez of Chicora.Oddo, also a military security specialist with 18 years of military service and a 1986 alumnus of Karns City High School, is the son of Steve Oddo of Chicora. His wife, Robin, is the daughter of Paul and Diana Fyfe of Butler.
