Daniel Pollock, son of Daniel Pollock and Karen Patten of East Butler, entered the delayed entry program for the Air Force on Jan. 21.Pollock, a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, shipped to Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on June 14.---

Anthony Moore, son of Gerald and Barbara Moore of Butler, entered the delayed entry program of the Air Force on Jan. 21.The 2003 alumnus of Butler High School shipped to basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on June 14.---Petty Officer 3rd Class

Angela Davison, a 2002 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, recently finished the Naval Nuclear Power Training in Charleston, S.C. and is classified as a machinist mate engineering laboratory technician.To date, she had attended machinist mate A school, power school, prototype school and ELT school and was the top female in all four schools.She twice earned the Commanding Officer's Personal Excellence Award, which is given to one student per class for exhibiting professionalism, academic excellence and personal dedication. She also was chosen to be section leader in charge of her Power School Class.On June 10, she reported to the USS George Washington, a nuclear aircraft carrier, in Norfolk, Va.She is the daughter of Francis and Cathy Davison of Harmony.
