Carol Louise Lunn Peterson, 79, of Portersville, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Jan.19, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital following an illness.

Born June 28,1942, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late David and Stella Weidenhof Lunn.

Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed nature, whether it was family camping or walking at nearby Moraine State Park. She loved shopping, growing flowers and cutting her grass.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Shelly) Peterson Jr. of Prospect, Kathy (Dean) Jenny of Rochester and Kim (Scott) Hoffman of Boyers; her eight grandchildren, Nicole Bennett, Megan Jenny, Rocky Peterson, Clinton Jenny, Shelby Hoffman, Carolyn Metzgar, Bailey Hoffman and Tyler Hoffman; five great-grandchildren, Avah, Ethan, Zach, Audrey and Kennedy; her siblings, George (Barbara) Lunn of Portersville, David Lunn of Butler, Bill (Tina) Lunn of Portersville, Linda King of New Castle and Janice (Ted) Simmon of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Peterson Sr., whom she married May 9, 1960, and who passed away April 6, 2009; her grandson, Colt Jenny; and three sisters.

PETERSON — Visitation for Carol Louise Lunn Peterson, who died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with her nephew, Pastor Ron Nagel of New Life Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will be private at Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.
