Bonus Accounting of Chicora was presented with a 2020 Western Pennsylvania Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics.

Officials from the Western Pennsylvania BBB presented the award to founder and principal Kenny Bonus and his staff at their office Thursday.

The firm won the award for the category of businesses with one to 10 employees. Energy Swing Windows of Murrysville won the award in the 11-to-49 employee category. The runner up in the one-to-10 employee category is Pittsburgh Gas Grill and Heater Co. and the 11-to-49 employee runner up is Global Software Applications of Pittsburgh.

The Better Business Bureau said it promotes, through self-regulation, the highest standards of business ethics and conduct; and instills public confidence in responsible businesses through programs of education and action that inform, protect and assist the general public. The BBB conducts an annual awards program to gain public recognition for companies that maintain a solid commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical manner. Each year, companies of different sizes are selected from 28 counties in Western Pennsylvania to receive the Torch Awards for Ethics.
