Route 8 North closed after 4-vehicle accident
MIDDLESEX TWP - A four-car wreck has closed both lanes of Route 8 North and reduced both ways to one-way traffic just south of the interchange with Route 228 Tuesday afternoon.
The accident, which volunteer firefighters said was related to the lane closures at the interchange, involved three cars and one pickup truck in a chain of rear-end collisions.
Two vehicles drove away from the accident, firefighters said. The other two were stuck in the turning lane, causing the shutdown. There were no injuries reported.
