CRANBERRY TWP — A township woman is accused of sexually abusing two minors over the course of four years.

Yvonne Ann Kumpfmiller, 54, is charged with one felony count of corruption of minors and three counts of indecent assault for incidents occurring between March 2012 and November 2016.

She waived those charges to county court Friday, where she will be formally arraigned June 13.

A detective with Cranberry Township Police received a ChildLine report March 1 regarding the sexual abuse of an 18-year-old. ChildLine is a child abuse reporting hot line.

Victim 1 reported Kumpfmiller “had been assaulting me since 2012,” police said. Kumpfmiller was described as an alcoholic who would often consume between eight and 12 cans of beer on a nightly basis, according to the affidavit.

The first alleged incident happened March 26, 2012, at the Residence Inn on Freedom Road in Cranberry. An intoxicated Kumpfmiller approached Victim 1, who was 14 at the time, and touched his genitals while asking to lay next to him, police said. Kumpfmiller stopped after being rebuffed by the victim.

After moving to a home in Cranberry in August 2012, Kumpfmiller intermittently continued identical assaults on a nightly basis, police said. Kumpfmiller would touch the victim's genitals or buttocks as well as kiss the victim while asking to lay in his bed, said court papers.

The last assault was November 2016 after Victim 1 had turned 18. While intoxicated, Kumpfmiller again tried to climb in bed with the victim and touch his genitals, and she was again rebuffed, police said.

A second victim also reported Kumpfmiller routinely tried to get in bed with them on five separate occasions between 2013 and 2015, according to the affidavit. Victim 2 also reported Kumpfmiller was intoxicated during each instance and was rebuffed each time she tried to lay in bed with the second victim, police said.

Kumpfmiller is free on her own recognizance.
