Man hurt in Slippery Rock accident
Police say an 82-year-old man in a minivan struck a marquee and statue of Jesus in the parking lot of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.
SLIPPERY ROCK — An 82-year-old man might have suffered a medical emergency Friday at 11:15 a.m. before the minivan he was driving north on South Main Street in Slippery Rock struck a marquee and statue of Jesus in the parking lot of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, borough police said.
The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was alert and speaking when police arrived and was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries, police said.
The van was towed from the scene.
