'Parade rage' lands knife-wielding man in prison
Michael Sparks of Butler is charged with pulling knife on another man during Spirit of Christmas Parade in the city.
The Spirit of Christmas parade in Butler was the setting of a knife-wielding, profanity-laced altercation Saturday that landed a city resident behind bars.
Michael R. Sparks, 31, is facing felony assault and other charges in the incident that apparently occurred, Butler police said, when he tried to get a better vantage point to see the parade.
No one was injured in the incident.
