Crash sends 2 to hospital
MUDDY CREEK TWP — Two people were taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Route 19.
According to state police at the scene, at around 1:44 p.m., a Subaru SUV was making a left turn from the southbound lane, when it struck a Hyundai sedan traveling north.
Police said both the driver and passenger from the Hyundai were taken by ambulance for treatment at a nearby hospital. Police said their conditions and the severity of their injuries was unknown.
The driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash; however, both vehicles were disabled and exhibited heavy front-end damage.
Portersville firefighters helped restrict traffic to one-lane while emergency crews worked on the scene.
Tow trucks arrived for both vehicles around 3:35 p.m., and traffic resumed to normal at about 3:50 p.m.
