CRANBERRY TWP — Traffic heading west on Route 228 over Interstate 79 was slowed for more than an hour Monday afternoon following a two-car accident.

According to Cranberry firefighters, a truck rear-ended a sedan near the I-79 North on ramp from Route 228 around 1:15 p.m. While no injuries were reported, fluid and debris covered the far-right westbound lane.

After fire crews cleared the scene at 2:20 p.m., traffic resumed its normal pattern, though a layer of pink absorbent material covered much of the right lane.
