One person is being airlifted to an area hospital by medical helicopter, after a one-vehicle crash on West Sunbury Road.

CENTER TWP — A child is being airlifted to an area hospital by medical helicopter, after a one-vehicle crash on West Sunbury Road.

The accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to emergency dispatch records, and was reported as a single vehicle into a tree along the side of the road.

Emergency responders on scene said the child was being taken via helicopter to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

It was not immediately clear how many people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and no other information was immediately available.
