Franz Juhasz
Franz (Jean-Francois) Juhasz, 60, of Slippery Rock, succumbed to his illness on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving wife, Kelley, and family.
He was born in Fribourg, Switzerland, the son of Lucie Juhasz and Janos Juhasz. As a teenager, he immigrated with his family to Erie.
After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he proudly served his country, and stood guard for the inauguration of President Ronald Reagan.After his service, he started his professional career in the tool and die/mold making industry in Erie. He worked in Arizona, California and Colorado, and then moved to Slippery Rock, where he married the love of his life.His greatest loves were God; his wife, Kelley; family; sports; and music. He was very proud of his Swiss and Hungarian ancestry. His selflessness, compassion and caring heart left an indelible imprint on all of us.He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan Juhasz; his stepson, Joey Pasqualini; and his father, Janos Juhasz.He is survived by his wife, Kelley Pasqualini-Juhasz; his mother, Lucie Juhasz; his sisters, Sibylle Freiwald and her husband, Gerald Freiwald, Cathy Johnson, and Jim Kovacs; his son, Ferenc Juhasz; his stepchildren, Brandon Capone, Jim Pasqualini, Ed Pasqualini, Alex Pasqualini and Jenny Pasqualini; his 13 loving grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.JUHASZ — Services for Franz (Jean-Francois) Juhasz, who died Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, are set to take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Burial at the VA National Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date.
