Adam Paul Fry

Adam Fry

Adam Paul Fry, 38, of Cabot, passed away peacefully at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with COVID-19 on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021.

Born Oct. 2, 1982, he was the son to Shari Laney. Adam was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend during his lifetime. Adam was a graduate from Knoch High School in Saxonburg, Class of 2001. He was an employee of Butler Transit Authority and worked with W.L. Roenigk in Sarver as well.

Upon meeting Adam, you would think he was shy and quiet. Once you really got to know him you would have a friend for life. He was known for his slick comebacks and “adult” sense of humor. Adam had a love for guns, basset hounds, model trains, model ships, and his collection of books and movies. Adam was passionate about the history of the Titanic, locomotives and local history. You could always find Adam at his favorite spot, The Fieldhouse, in Cabot, where he worked as a teenager and enjoyed drinks and dining with great company as an adult.

Adam is survived by his grandparents, Helen and Charles Lascuola and Ron and Nancy Laney; sister, Kristiana Fry of Cabot; sister and best friend, Jamie Bash (Leon) Gross of Brackenridge; and his godson, Semaj Gross of Brackenridge, with whom he shared his love of trains; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his mother, Shari Laney, and his beloved dogs, Barney and Duke.

Fry — A memorial service will be planned at a later date for Adam Paul Fry, who died Friday, Sept. 24, 2021.

Arrangements are under the direction of Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
