<B>Laurie Ratica</B> of Butler graduated summa cum laude May 2 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.She was co-valedictorian of her class and recipient of the Annual Chaffee Scholarship. Ratica is a member of the Honors College and was on the dean's list every semester.She is the primary author of research on the topic of critical care of pregnant women with Pitt faculty. She accepted a position in the medical and cardiac intensive care unit at UPMC Shadyside.A 2005 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Jack and Mary Lou Ratica of Butler.———

<B>Larissa Fowler</B> of Bowden, W.Va., graduated cum laude with honors from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W.Va. She earned a bachelor's degree in recreation management and tourism with a minor in business management and marketing.A 2006 graduate of Moniteau High School, she is the daughter of Lewis and Linda Fowler of Hilliards.While at Davis and Elkins, she received The Wall Street Journal Award for being an outstanding all-around business student.She is employed in the marketing department of Timberline Four Seasons Resort in Davis, W.Va.———

<B>Matthew Saeler</B> of Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from California (Pa.) University.He completed more than 600 internship hours of training at Washington and Jefferson College, Elizabeth Foward High School and California (Pa.) University. He also participated in California (Pa.) University's mentor program as an adviser to the freshman class. He also was a member of the university's athletic training club, where he served as social chairman. He also was named to the dean's list.He is pursuing a master's degree in exercise science and health promotion: performance enhancement and injury prevention. He will begin a paid internship in July as a graduate assistant working in the university weight room.A 2006 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of Angela and Denis Wilbert of Butler.———

<B>Nicole Strohmyer</B> of Karns City graduated as a registered nurse from the Citizens School of Nursing. A 2006 graduate of Karns City High School, she is the daughter of Ross Strohmyer of Saxonburg and Laura Christman of Karns City.———

<B>Matthew Shuster</B> of Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in software engineering with a minor in management information systems from Penn State, the Behrend College.While at Penn State, he was a Penn State Shreyer Honors Scholar with honors in software engineering and high distinction. He represented the engineering class of 2010 as student marshal at graduation. He was a member of Tau Beta Nu engineering honor society and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society.He is employed as a programmer analyst at PPG Industries in Pittsburgh.A 2006 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of James and Pamela Shuster of Butler.———

<B>Vance Farren</B> of West Sunbury graduated May 15 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Penn State University. While at Penn State, he was a dean's list student.———

<B>Zachary Miller </B>of Sarver graduated from Paul Smith's College in Paul Smiths, N.Y.
