M.J. Parsons had two hits, including a double, but the Slippery Rock University baseball team dropped a 6-2 decision to Division I Duquesne Wednesday at Critchfield Park.

The loss was The Rock's third in the last four outings and dropped the squad to 12-6 overall.

Scott Bender scored on a ground out and Phil Butch followed with an RBI single, both coming in the ninth inning to avert a shutout.
