The following students received degrees from their respective colleges and universities:
Amy Wilson of Center Township graduated in December from the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement at Duquesne University with a master's in leadership and business ethics. She received a master's in 2007 in professional writing from Slippery Rock University and is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Butler County.Wilson works for the County of Butler as administrative assistant to Commissioner Dale Pinkerton.——-
<B>Vaughn Bicehouse </B>of Bradford, formerly of Renfrew, received a doctor of education degree in instructional leadership from Duquesne University.He is an assistant professor of education at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.Bicehouse also presented a paper in January at the Hawaii International Conference on Education.He received a master's in special education from Slippery Rock University, a bachelor's in special education from Slippery Rock and a bachelor's in social studies from Grove City College.He is married to Patti (Hilliard) Bicehouse. They have two children, Grace and Elijah.——-
Two Butler County Community College graduates were awarded bachelor's degrees Jan. 9 from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.<B>Danny Haynes</B> of Ellwood City and <B>Tracie Nehilla </B>of Zelienople completed degrees by participating in an alliance between BC3 and Franklin.The program allows students in the U.S. to combine on-campus coursework at their local community college with online classes through Franklin to complete their degrees.
