Elizabeth Mary Small

Cadet Elizabeth Mary Small of Butler graduated May 21 from the United States Military Academy.While at the U.S. Military Academy, she concentrated her studies in mathematical sciences with honors. She was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Engineers branch and will report to Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash., for her first assignment.A 2007 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Small of Butler.———

Kristin Cypher of Butler graduated magna cum laude May 7 from Duquesne University.While at Duquesne University, she was on the dean's list.She is now pursuing a master's in physician assistant studies at Duquesne University.She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald Cypher of Butler.———

Andrew Double of Erie graduated with a bachelor's in management information systems with a minor in operations and supply chain management from Penn State Erie, the Behrend College.He graduated with distinction with a 3.82 grade point average and received the Behrend Honors Program certificate. He was on the dean's list all eight semesters.He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi national honor societies.He is employed as a business intelligence developer by the Erie Insurance Group in Erie.A 2007 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of Philip and Christina Double of East Brady.———

Lauren Fox of Broadlands, Va., graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's in sociology and minor in philosophy from Gettysburg College. While at Gettysburg, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received the Harry C. and Catherine Noffzinger Hartzell Award in Sociology.She is employed by Teach for America in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.A 2007 graduate of Stone Badge High School, she is the daughter of William and Nancy Fox of Broadlands, Va., and the granddaughter of Dorothy Fox of Butler.———

Abigail Mason of Butler graduated magna cum laude May 22 with a bachelor's in anthropology with minors in dance and sociology from Bucknell University.While at Bucknell, she was on the dean's list for eight semesters. She served as secretary of the Alpha Lambda Delta academic fraternity, as student co-director for dance showcases and as treasurer of the Bucknell Resident Hall Association.She was co-captain of the Bison Girls Dance Team and community service chair of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.She studied abroad during her junior year in UVA'S Semester at Sea program.She was a dance program teaching assistant and human resources assistant as well as an undergraduate research assistant for the Bucknell Anthropology Department.She will pursue a master's in performance studies starting in June at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.A 2007 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Greg and Sue Mason of Butler.———
