SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University freshman Lindsey Fadden has been named the PSAC's Women's Tennis Champion Scholar, the league office announced Friday.

The PSAC Champion Scholar Award honors the student-athlete with the top grade-point average who is competing at the site of the league's 23 team championship finals.

Fadden has a 4.0 GPA as a finance and economics major at The Rock.

SRU's Adriana Gonzalez Sanchez was named the PSAC West Women's Tennis Athlete of the Year.

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove two more horses to victory during harness racing action Friday at The Meadows.Brown teamed with trainer Nathan Bresnahan of Butler for a win with Outspoken Man. The 4-year-old gelding won a $6,300 Conditioned Claiming Pace.Brown also won with Rowdy Ryder, a 3-year-old gelding, in a $7,500 Conditioned Trot.
